The Book Doctor Is In!
Since 2013, I've been taking authors by the hand from raw manuscript (or no manuscript as a ghostwriter) to market as their trusted book production and publishing partner—wearing the multi-colored hats of writer, editor, cover designer, layout artist, proofreader, ebook creator, publishing facilitator, graphic and website designer, and cheerleader. :)

To date, I've helped bring over 70 books of excellence—several of them winning notable book awards—into the marketplace with my beloved author clients, committed from cover to cover to the high standards of legacy publishing within the self-publishing arena. I have also designed over 220 distinct interiors as a layout artist for She Writes Press, a role I've cherished for a decade.

I typically work as a full-scope partner with my author clients—which works wonderfully as there are no teams for them to manage, and they receive my complete dedication to every detail of their book—but I am also available for specific elements of book production, such as editing, cover design, or layout artistry only. However we partner, my commitment is to make you shine as an author!

As a ghostwriter, my specialty is memoir; as an editor and cover designer, my specialties are memoir, certain fiction categories, and an array of nonfiction, including self-development, leadership, pets/animals, inspirational, novelty, parenting, language/academic, and writing; and my specialties in creative layout artistry run the gamut from fiction and memoir to complex nonfiction.

I LOVE what I do, and that love permeates not only the books I help to bring into the world but also the relationship between my authors and me. I would love to help you bring your baby to life if I'm the right match for you!

Find your dream assistant now

This is such a needed service for authors. I've used VA/PA services from other well-known freelance platforms, but they can be overwhelming and daunting. Looking for an assistant who has some knowledge of the author world (such as Bookbub Ads) is like looking for a needle in a haystack with these larger platforms.

I had been dragging my feet on hiring a more permanent VA/PA for so long because I didn't want to have to deal with looking through that proverbial haystack, but Busy Bee makes it so easy to find the assistant you need for the work you need as an author. Thank you, Brian!!
