Sarah is a Fiction editor from Houston, USA

From the moment my dad began reading The Hobbit to me as a child, I knew I wanted to work in the world of stories. For a while, that desire took me into the classroom where I taught writing to young children and read them some of the world's greatest living books. Then, it brought me into editing where, perhaps not surprisingly, I still do a lot of teaching. This time, though, it's through one-on-one work with writers.

I enjoy working with writers of all levels—debut and veteran writers alike. I bring a fine eye for detail and a bit of editing magic to every project. All I require is a willingness to embark on the journey. Together, we'll tackle clarity and consistency to create an enchanting story that will keep your readers coming back for more.

I offer manuscript reviews and custom editorial packages (line/copyediting + proofreading) and à la carte editorial services.

My manuscript wish list:

  • Adult and YA science fiction
  • Adult and YA fantasy
  • Low spice/closed-door romance (historical, contemporary, fantasy)
  • Mystery (cozy, detective fiction, etc.)

Find your dream assistant now

This is such a needed service for authors. I've used VA/PA services from other well-known freelance platforms, but they can be overwhelming and daunting. Looking for an assistant who has some knowledge of the author world (such as Bookbub Ads) is like looking for a needle in a haystack with these larger platforms.

I had been dragging my feet on hiring a more permanent VA/PA for so long because I didn't want to have to deal with looking through that proverbial haystack, but Busy Bee makes it so easy to find the assistant you need for the work you need as an author. Thank you, Brian!!
